Open a form safely

Use this procedure to open a form you own or are authorized to edit without changing it.

Steps

1. Select Open.
2. Select My Forms for a form you own. Use Shared with me only for an authorized read-only review.
3. Locate the intended form by its known name and review the row before opening it.
4. Open the form.
5. Wait for its saved state to load before taking any action.
6. If you only need to inspect the respondent experience, use Preview rather than changing the canvas.
7. Try edits and submissions on a non-production form before changing a live form.

Expected result

The selected form opens in the editor. Opening a form does not change it; save edits only when you are ready to apply them.
